In 1980 John Hinclkey Jr. attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan to impress the actress. He went to prison but was found not guilty on mental health grounds.
8) Selena Gomez
In the 2000s, Thomas Brodnicki claimed that on several occasions, he had spoken to God about murdering the singer. Although Selena tried to place a restraining order against him, the case had been dropped, until Brodnicki himself signed a statement begging the police to restrain him, knowing he was a danger to the star.
9) Christina Grimmie
In 2016, singer Christina Grimmie was killed by Kevin James Loibl during an autograph signing. After shooting the former contestant on The Voice, Kevin was tackled by Christina’s brother but managed to commit suicide.
10) Miley Cyrus
In 2008, Mark McLeod was arrested after sending thousands of letters and gifts to the singer. The stalker was detained during a screening of The Last Song, starring Miley after he made sexual comments to girls in the audience.
