13) This man fought in World War II. Recently turning 112, he is now the oldest man in the United States.

14) For several years, on May 9 (Victory Day in Russia), this grandfather looked out the window and greeted the “Immortal Regiment.” In his hands, he always had a portrait of his mother. This year he did not go out to say hello. The man was named Igor Klochkov, he was a military engineer. He died in late 2017 at age 97.

15) “This is the last note my grandfather wrote to my grandmother before he died: “I will remember one thing when the rest of my life is behind me: the most beautiful thing I have ever done is to love you.”

16) “We sent my grandmother to a new place where they take care of people with dementia. There she met and became friends with a lady with the same name. They hold hands all the time while watching TV.”
