1) Clean washable cottons with Marseille soap
Sometimes using your good old Marseille soap bar, before washing in the machine will be enough to remove stains. To do this, moisten the cotton with very cold water and rub the soap on it. Then, rinse thoroughly and slide everything in the machine. If you don’t wash them right away, you’ll need to let them dry before putting them in the laundry basket. If that’s not enough, go to one of the solutions below.
2) Vinegar and soda crystals to clean your washable cottons
Prepare a bath for your cottons in a basin of hot water added with 2 tablespoons of soda crystals and a little white vinegar. Then let your cottons soak for half a day so that they have plenty of time to clean. Then rinse them under water and rub them with soap if necessary. When washing, do not hesitate to add a spoon of soda in the drum for more whiteness.
3) You can also use the soda crystals in combination with soda percarbonate
This last very powerful ecological mixture combines the whitening properties of soda percarbonate and the degreasing power of soda crystals (useful for dissolving liquid makeup and cleansing oil). In a liter of boiling water, pour two spoons of percarbonate and one of the crystals. Let your washable cottons soak for 12 to 24 hours to clean them thoroughly. You just have to slide them into the machine!
Good to know :
Washing these small cotton rounds or squares with your dirty laundry at 30 or 40 ° C is sufficient. If possible, use a powder detergent, as they have more whitening properties. In addition, these tips work just as well for cottons as washable wipes, washable diapers, and washable sanitary napkins. On the other hand, use only cold water for a sanitary napkin stained with blood.
