How far does violence go? Several celebrities have been chased by “followers” who were obsessed with getting their attention, even to death.
What is a stalker? Sure on social networks, you have heard this term, from English. The word comes from the verb “stalk” ( harass ) and describes this disruptive behavior to follow each step of a person, including celebrities, who are more likely to be public figures.
1) Justin Bieber
In November 2012, Mark Staake and his nephew Tanner Ruane were arrested for planning to castrate and murder the singer. They were acting on the orders of Dana Martin, a murderer, and rapist who led the attack from prison, where he is serving two life terms. Dana’s reason was that he “loved” Justin Bieber, but he believed he had changed too much.
2) Björk
One of the famous victims of bullying was Björk. The American Ricardo López became obsessed with the singer and began recording a daily video detailing his twisted thoughts and saying that he wanted to be “the angel of death” for the star.
In 2006 López made a homemade bomb and sent it to Björk to later commit suicide. However, the police managed to stop the device before it got into the hands of the famous one.
Today, Björk turns 54 and is very lucky to survive her stalker, but she is not the only one who has had to deal with this problem.
3) Kylie Jenner
In 2016, a man named Marvin Magallanes repeatedly attempted to enter the celebrity’s home. Magellan was arrested after he crashed his car into the front of Jenner’s home. After being arrested, it was discovered that the stalker had murdered two homeless people and was convicted of their crimes.
